April Review.... Part 1

Brecken came down with Croup the last week of March.... Which landed him a date with twice daily oral steroids. According to him, they were "yucky." In an effort to get them in his tummy (and off of my clothes), I bribed him with freezy pops.... Worked like a charm!

Thinking B was starting to get a little better from his battle with croup, we headed down to Ollie to spend a long weekend with Papa Gott.....

Since Brecken wasn't his normal energetic self, we spent lots of time reading books...

... and watching Madiana smile :)

I even had some time to snoop through Mom's hopechest, which has always been a favorite past time of mine. I ran across each of Mom's hospital bracelets from her labor and deliveries. Being a mom myself, this touched me.

Shoes that mom crochet for my little feet 30 years ago.... Now on Madiana!

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( While visiting Papa Gott, Brecken became extremely lethargic and I thought I could hear a trace amount of wheezing. Just to be sure, Eric took him to the Ottumwa Hospital ER to make sure he was okay. Thank God we took him in!!! Our little bug had a fever of 104 by the time he was seen and had pneumonia :( :( :( :( He was admitted into the hospital right away, received oxygen support, and almost gave his mommy a heart attack!!!

He was feeling a little better by the next morning, his oxygen levels were up, and he got BREAKFAST IN BED! He thought this was the coolest thing he had ever done!
