Saturday!

Our day started with our first Gymnastics class at Mini Hops in Minnetonka. Although Brecken started out a bit timid and "unimpressed," the session ended with many smiles and even a high five for his coach! He did tummy rolls, did AWESOME on the beam, loved the running activities, and did a decent job of listening to directions in between the activities. This will be our weekly class that we chose for the summer and I'm excited to see Brecken as he keeps getting more and more comfortable with the new place.

As for Saturday night..... Eric and I had a much desired night out tonight while Brecken got to play with his cousins Michael and Julia! All in all, it is a win-win night for EVERYONE involved :) Matt and Jill offered to watch Brecken for us while we went on a date night and B has been talking about it ALL week! When he woke up this morning, he said, "Breckees go pay Mike-ees Juju house!!!!!!!!!" We had to tell him it wasn't quite time yet..... We told him another 800 times until it was FINALLY time for the fun to begin. Here are a few pictures of our big boy before his big slumber party.....

Packing his bag with the essentials:

• "Bankie" = Blanket
• "Night night" = His little rag thingie that he has slept with since he was a baby
• "Tubby bear" = Brecken doesn't normally sleep with a teddy bear, nor does he have one he particularly plays with a great deal...... But he insisted that his "tubby bear" accompany him to his slumber party nonetheless :)
• "Yellow Kitty Hat book" = Brecken's current favorite book is a Cat in the Hat book called I Can Read with My Eyes Shut and to distinguish between other Cat in the Hat books he has, he always lists the color of the color which is yellow :)
• "Kitty Hat stickers" = Brecken insisted on bringing a few Cat in the Hat stickers to share with Michael and Julia :)

All ready for his slumber party fun!

When we got to Matt & Jill's house to drop B off, we got to check out the "slumber party room" all set up for the kids.... The air mattress was set up with Brecken's spot in the middle of Michael and Julia- HOW FUN! The kids were going to the Children's Museum after dinner tonight and I'm sure Brecken had a blast.

As for Eric and I, we ate at Kincaids - YUM! - before going to the Joke Joint Comedy Club in St. Paul :) We had a fun night, but I won't lie.... Now that we are home, I sure do miss my Bug-a-boo!!!!!!!

After brie, drinks, salmon and prime rib, I made sure to save room for dessert..... The "indulgent chocolate cake" was A-MAZING!!!!!!!

We're excited to see him in the morning...... Until then, our date night continues with a late night movie :)
