Fulkerson/ Walker Weekend
First off, let me start off by saying HAPPY SPRING BREAK, as that is
what my current week is consisting of :) On a sad note, this week is
in my calendar as "week with mom...." It is physically painful to
turn to each new calendar month and see unfulfilled commitments and
get-togethers, planned events that will never happen, and new memories
that just weren't meant to be. On a happy note, I get to have my
first ever "Dad week" so that is something new and exciting! As a
self-proclaimed momma's girl, I can easily say that I've had more
heart-to-hearts with my Dad in the last two months than in the last 29
years of my life. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved and respected
my father immensley..... But the "momma's girl" in me had me running
to her for everything and dad would simply get filled in on the
details later. For the record, I think he much preferred that as he
was able to get the cliff's note version from mom and now has to
listen to ALL of my words :)
Spring break started with a weekend trip to the Fulkersons in Altoona.
Brecken and Kallie always have fun together, and us parents love it
as well!

Some serious play time, it looks like....

On Sunday, Eric and Brecken met Dad at a gas station to do the "April
exchange" and I came the rest of the way home to Ollie. This week has
been spent tombstone shopping and sorting. Yes, that is right....
Tombstone shopping over spring break. Every person's dream, right?
It is what it is, and that is my current reality. It all seems unreal
still.....
