Brecken loves hockey

Brecken LOVES hockey games.  He watches the players, gawks at people around him (especially anyone eating ice cream!), enjoys the big screen tv's overhead, dances to the music, laughs at the organ player, claps when other people cheer, and gets SO SO SOOOO excited whenever he sees Nordy (the team mascot).  In fact, when Nordy isn't skating around on the ice during the breaks, Brecken is constantly asking about "No-dey."  We finally said that he was sleeping thinking that would get Brecken to quit asking..... A few minutes later he turns to me and says "No-dey home night nights."  I guess he understand what we were telling him :)  Ha.

He also loves the zamboni's, which he refers to as "bus."  He actually remembered these from his last hockey game and as soon as we sat down in ours eats pointed to the direction where the "buses" come out of and started chanting "bus, bus, bus, bus...."

After happily making it through the entire game, we assumed that he would crash as soon as we got into the car.  This didn't turn out to be the case as he was too busy talking to us about his fun night.  From the backseat, all we could hear was "No-dey" and "bus" over and over and over.  He also through in the occasional "hi-yo" (his word for his cell phone) and "papa" (whom he ALWAYS calls on said cell phone).  We gave him one of Eric's old blackberries and he "calls" and "texts" on it constantly.

Trying to get him excited and prepped for what tomorrow would bring, we mentioned to him that he got to go to school.... To which he replied "Eyya" (one of his friend's is Ella and he talks about her constantly).  It is actually funny because at a school event last Thursday, Ella's mom said that her daughter was always talking about a Brecken when they asked her about school.

The last month has been a language explosion and it has been awesome watching him put everything together!  We are anxious to see what the next month brings!!!!

Here are a few pictures from the game...
