Happy New Year!

Our little family is more than ready to say adios to 2010!  I am sure it wasn't all bad, but we've had a rough last several months so are anxious to turn the calendar to 2011 tomorrow morning :)  In honor of the year coming to a close, we decided to have a family camp out to celebrate!  Anyone in Minnesota right now knows that outside camping is NOT an option what with our snow and freezing rain we are being blessed with as I type.  We, instead, brought the camping inside :)  

Here we are making s'mores for dessert.... Brecken LOVED them!

Daddy and the doggies set the tent up while mommy gave Brecken a bath.... The s'more stickiness was everywhere!

The look on Brecken's face when he went downstairs and saw the tent set up next to the fire place was priceless!!  He was excited to check it out and kept running in and out laughing!

We have been talking to Brecken about him sleeping somewhere special for the past few days to prep him.  It was actually funny that he crawled out of his tent bed backwards just like he crawls out of his big boy bed backwards :)

We told Brecken that he could pick a movie out for our special night, which he was excited about.... But he didn't really understand what the DVD's were.  He kept calling them "books" but then got frustrated when the "pages" wouldn't open :)  In the end, he picked "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" which he enjoyed :)

We were able to web cam with Grandma and Grandpa Walker and Brecken was VERY excited to show them his tent, and how he could run in and out of his tent :)

Always a big phone talker, Brecken manages to have two conversations at the same time :)  If we asked who he is talking to, B always says "Papa."   :)

We were also able to web cam with Brecken's Great Grandma Gott and some of our Arizona family!!  Here Brecken is blowing them a kiss bye bye :)

A bummer about celebrating New Year's with only our little family is that we can't get a FULL family picture!

.... Brecken calls it quits at 10:04pm :) We are so blessed to have our little Bug-a-Boo in our lives... And not only because he can sleep through the dogs crawling in and out of the tent, and mommy taking pictures of him sleeping with a big flash, and us watching a movie right beside him.... But because he is the sweetest, funniest, most beautiful little bundle of joy that ever graced the earth :)
