Quick Update with Pictures

Not sure where to start since I want to make this quick before I head to bed. However, in case you haven't heard April has been in the hospital all weekend after what should have been a routine surgery on Wednesday. She was at home for part of the day Thursday and Friday until we went to the ER again around noon. After being there for most of the afternoon they admitted her to the hospital that evening. I picked Brecken up from daycare that night and brought him in to see Mommy. He enjoyed story time with mommy on the hospital bed.

On Friday night Diana and Jerry came up to help out and be with April. On Saturday morning Brecken was very excited to see a lot of snow outside (however we didn't play in any this weekend). Since it snowed most of the day we stayed inside since Diana and Jerry went to be with April most of the day. However, don't worry Brecken didn't want to sleep the day away and thought we should clean up the house so it is not a mess when mommy comes home.

On Sunday all of us went to the Hospital to visit April as she was feeling a little better. After we got there we took a walk to the lounge so Mommy could walk and Brecken could run around. That helped to keep him entertained and I believe that the other guests in the lounge were entertained as well.... Except when they were trying to listen to a church service on the radio, oops! I guess it gave them the real live feel of church with a talking toddler in the pew behind them. We stayed long enough that Brecken and I ended up eating at the cafeteria (which wasn't all that good). Then once more we went upstairs to say bye to Mommy. At this point Brecken was exhausted and once I put him in the car he pulled the hat over his eyes as to say, "ni ni..." Once we got home he continued to sleep well all afternoon.

Then this evening Matt and Jill took Brecken, and their two kids (Michael, and Julia) to a friends house for dinner that they already had scheduled. They assured me it was not a problem to watch Brecken and that there was going to be a lot of kids there anyways so he could just get lost in the bunch. I thanked them a bunch but it was good to give me another time to go visit April without the Brecken distraction. I know April loves to see him and I really love taking him but when I do, I never get to talk to April and instead play defense the whole time.

I will try to post a few videos I took from the weekend and last week but that will have to be a tomorrow night project. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I know people have sent April emails and Facebook posts and she appreciates all of them.
