Apple Crisp... Step Two
.... So we wiped the tears away, and starting mixing the seasoning to go along with the apples. Brecken was all about the stirring and was a fan of "dumping..."
.... He then decided he'd fill the spoon with the ingredients in the bowl (flour, sugar, salt & cinnamon), and take a big bite....
.... Ooooops, not what he was expecting apparently. Too much cinnamon!
Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!!!
Water helped solve the problem and we were able to start up again....
Replacing the cinnamon that accidentally got poured into Brecken's tummy....
More tasting....
After everything was stirred together and it wasn't a mound of straight cinnamon, Brecken said "mmmmmm mmmmmmm" to this bite....
More stirring....
A good chef is always messy, right?
Shaking the apples to mix everything up. To be honest, he was less than interested in the shaking. He only wanted to STIR and DUMP.
Unfortunately, Apple Crisp Step Two ended in a time out :( Brecken didn't understand why the stirring/ mixing had to come to an end and why we had to take the apples with all of their seasoning and put them into the pan. When this happened, the only way he knew how to respond was to throw the spoon and bowl on the floor. Which he knows is a no-no. Soooooo, to time out he went :( He was sad about it but does relatively well with time-outs. He knows when he has done wrong and stays put until we say his time is done and he can get up..... Just sticks his bottom lip out to show his displeasure for the duration :)
