Week in Nevada

Brecken & I spent Monday - Friday in Nevada, while Eric worked Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning before driving back to join us. During our time, we visited the Boone Scenic Railroad, went swimming, Brecken got lots of time with Grandma & Grandpa, and Brecken went on his first horsey ride!! We had a great time :)

We visited Brecken's Great Grandma Cloutier in Des Moines last Monday and as always, it was fun to spend time with her. Uncle Dan, Aunt Diane and cousin Nicholas also stopped by for dinner and Brecken had a lot of fun with Nicholas!

Brecken is truly on summer vacation... Late nights and sleeping in- He loves it :) Here he is enjoying some cuddle time with Grandma before turning in for the night.

We visited Camp Sacajawea and took a quick photo outside of the entrance- Madeleine and I both went to girl scout camp there as kids!

Boone Scenic Valley Railroad tour... We weren't able to take a ride this time, but had a fun time checking out the trains :)

One of the coolest things about our time in Nevada was our visit to a farm with horses. Brecken was excited to touch the first horse he saw, then not quite sure what to think, and by the end of our time at the stable, we might have a little rider on our hands :) It was so fun watching him try something new!! I have videos that I will try to post later!

... so poor Brecken has no choice but to stay on his new friend, Jack the horse :)

When Jack the horse would come to a stop, we would ask Brecken if he was "all done" or wanted "more" and EVERY time he would emphatically give the sign for MORE! Every time! He didn't like it when the horse would stop but LOVED the ride :)

Brecken even got a full day with Grandma while we were there and I got to go to Des Moines for a day of scrapbooking with my mom.... Talk about a win-win!!! Despite the fact that we didn't get a ton of pages done while at Archivers, Mom & I had a fabulous time and I know Brecken had a great time with Grandma Walker as well :)
