Spring Break 2010 Pictures

While spring breaks of the past brought on road trips to Arizona and tanning in Mexico, the "spring breaks" of the present and undoubtedly future will consist of a mix of work and play.... All the while revolving around a cute little bug-a-boo named Brecken. He was a definite trooper through the first several days of work as Mommy drug him into the classroom to set things up/ switch over units and to and from teacher stores to laminate, purchase, and get ideas. We spent a few days with Eric's parents and a few days with my parents so he got to enjoy BOTH grandparents in just one week- What a lucky boy!! He also "helped" us with some landscaping projects around the house, blew bubbles for the first time with our neighbor boys, played in his sandbox, spent LOTS of time with his toys, and did lots of "shopping cart play" between runs to Home Depot, Lakeshore Learning & his favorite - The grocery store.

Brecken continues to love food and enjoys trying new things. Some of his new favorite foods are blackberries, grilled cheese sandwiches. He likes to give kisses... And GOOD KISSES they are! When you say "kiss" he comes at you open-mouthed and ready to share his drool!

Here are a few pictures from the past week!

Brecken with Grandma Gott

Laughing...

Daddy making funny ears behind him...

Singing and dancing with his one-man-band machine

At lunch this weekend, Brecken made his first order off the kids' menu!! We have always just had him share whatever we were eating when we would go out, but were beginning to feel like he was eating more than us! He ordered a grilled cheese, and although he would have preferred to eat it straight from the fun basket instead of the plate, he managed to get through more than HALF of his sandwich by himself! Not bad considering he had some spinach and artichoke dip for appetizer before hand :)

Clapping.... Which he thinks pretty much everything these days is "clap worthy!"

A few pictures that Grandma Gott sent us from our time in Ollie....

Mommy's FAVORITE "eatery" from back home... TORINOS. Yum, yum!

Trying on Mom's old Denver Broncos helmet from Halloween '87.... Go Elway!

On the home front, we got our new washer and dryer installed on Friday and love it! Not to make myself sound like a redneck here, but it's one of the fancy schmancy load-in-the-front, lights up when you push buttons, and makes all kinds of beepy sounds when you start and end it.... Not to mention these things have more settings than !!!!! How does that saying go.... You can take the girl out of the country but can't take the country out of the girl? Rightfully so in this instance because if you ask me, I'm super impressed by all the bells and whistles. Furthermore, the pair seems like it belongs better anywhere but our little fixer-upper homestead!!
