Some new tricks for Brecken

FYI: This is the 4th post of the night, so you may want to start with the earlier ones below :)

We've been hearing for months how every other baby flips over in bed and sleeps on their tummy. Now, finally at 9 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days, Brecken flipped over in bed for the first time! And to say that he liked it would be a lie. In fact, he woke up FURIOUS and confused. I went in to look at him and his little arm was sticking out of his crib and he was screaming. I grabbed Lissa's camera to take a picture before helping him... I know, mean mom :( Despite the fact that it looks bright in these pictures, these were in the middle of the night and it was pitch black so I'm sure that the bright camera light and us laughing at him didn't help him feel any better :( Poor guy.....

Most of the problem is that Brecken doesn't roll over during the day when he's playing, so when he learns new tricks like rolling over in the middle of the night and doesn't know how to execute them fully, it's quite a hardship! This hasn't happened again since Friday night so who knows if/ when it'll happen again. When it does, I hope he can sleep through it or figure out how to flip back over!!

Brecken has been a fan of standing lately, can pull himself up to things, and LOVES to jump! Here is a quick video of him jumping :)

While Brecken can scoot to get where he needs to go, he still isn't crawling. As you can see, he's starting to get a bit frustrated that no matter how hard he tries while on his tummy, he can only make himself go in a circle. Poor guy.... He'll figure it out when he's ready :)

Lastly, here is Brecken enjoying the sunlight and getting his first feel of grass! All was going well until he found a leaf... which OBVIOUSLY needed to go into his mouth :)

OK, blogging has seriously taken up 3 1/2 hours of my life.... Unbelievable. School prep still awaits me unfortunately... It's gonna be a long night :(
