Hi Ho Hi Ho, It's off to SCHOOL we go :)

I don't remember if I've posted my exciting news on my blog world yet, but I will be going back to teaching starting TOMORROW. I had originally planned on taking a year off from the classroom to stay at home with Brecken, but when I got a call that a part time position had opened up in my school district for January, it was too great to pass up!!! The bags (the many many bags!) are packed, the alarm is set (for a time that I am sooooooo unfamiliar with it is honestly making me sick to my stomach!), and I am keeping my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly! I have heard from so many friends how hard it is to drop your little one off at daycare for the first time, so we will see how tomorrow goes! While I absolutely know that I will miss Brecken every second that he isn't with me, I am also really excited about the whole backpack/ going to school/ making friends adventure that B is about to embark on!! My friend Lissa texted me good luck wishes tonight and reminded me that the best part was that it would be SO fun to pick him up at the end of the day! I texted back that I was already excited for 4:30 tomorrow to get here so I could pick him up!!!! :) My goal is no tears, and I really think I can do it..... Then again, I've never dropped my precious little baby boy off in the care of someone other than ME so no guarantees :)

I'm hoping to get some "Going to school" pictures in the morning, but between setting the crock pot for dinner, trying to get myself dressed in something other than sweatpants (oh my gosh, and MAKE-UP?? I'll have to dig that out of the bottom of a drawer!), and waking Brecken up for the first time as opposed to his leisurely wake up somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30am, we will see if the camera even makes it out of the bag!!

Wish us luck!!!!!

And until I get around to posting again, here are a few pictures from this past week. I must say... I have been having school breaks since I was 5 years old and always enjoyed and appreciated each one. However, not a single one comes anywhere close to comparing to this one. Having a Brecken around is the absolute BEST way to spend a break and I didn't take a single second for granted!!!!!

Here is Brecken playing with his monkey friends....

It looks like he's sharing a laugh with his new friends :) Ha. He actually did tell them quite a few stories and the conversation went on and on and on.... And on! Very cute to listen to and watch!

Brecken has been sitting by himself for a little over a month now, but we are still nervous about having him in the BIG bath tub all by himself.... We ordered this little transition bath thing and laughed at ourselves as we said the only people that probably buy this product are the silly first-time parents!!! Oh well, if the shoe fits....

Snuggling in his new froggie towel.... Much bigger than the infant ones we had been trying to squeeze him into!

Still lovin' his walker....

Not to make us sound like bad parents, but Brecken is super awesome at independent play. Here he is playing with his big brother Tucker and entertaining himself :) The pillows surrounding him are probably unnecessary as he never falls unless it is intentional because he wants to lay on his tummy or scoot around, but it makes US feel better since he's on the hard wood floors :)

For those of you who had vacation time over the holidays, good luck getting back in the swing of things!!!
