It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

First, an update on Brecken's health: He is eating better and seems to be feeling a LOT better. That said, he felt warm again tonight and when I took his temperature it's up to 100 :( We ended up back at the doctor again Saturday morning due to a bad night on Friday and Dr. Bodine said then to call him tomorrow at his office if he has had any fever whatsoever today or tomorrow.... So unfortunately I will be calling him tomorrow to touch base.

We ended up having a fairly relaxing weekend here at home... Uncle Aaron was going to come from Green Bay to see us, but his car was having problems on his drive here so he stayed home and is planning on coming next weekend. Brecken is super excited to hang out with Uncle Aaron and promised him that he would wait to visit santa until he was here to take part in the exciting adventure. As you can imagine, I'm dying to see how Brecken responds to Jolly Old Saint Nick!

After B's doctor appointment on Saturday, we spent most of the afternoon Christmas shopping. We got a lot of things crossed off of our lists and Brecken loved looking at all of the people in the mall. Unlike Mommy, he didn't get annoyed with the lines and aisles full of people.... By the end of the day, Eric was calling me "Grinchy" and I can't say that I blame him. Today we went to church and out for lunch and have been playing with Brecken and getting things done around here. Very relaxing and low key which seems like a nice change of pace from all the running around we've been doing lately!

Brecken wasn't all that interested in the Christmas tree.... He was MUCH more into his walker!

Brecken helping Mom decorate the tree...

Brecken liked feeling the pine needles...

Brecken's favorite part of the day was present wrapping... Specifically his cousin Julia's present! He helped us pick it out of the toy aisle in the store and liked "testing it out" through the box once we got home...

He wasn't exactly sure why the "fun toy" couldn't come out of the box, but he was a good sport about wrapping it with Mom...

Putting on the tape...

He eventually realized that "wrapping the present" meant covering it up... Which he didn't like. As a result, he decided that if the wrapping paper was going to go on the box, he wanted to be on the side with the toy :)

We have had a lot of fun looking at all of the Holiday cards that we have been getting in the mail, and checking out everyone's pictures. Brecken was ESPECIALLY excited to get a holiday card from the Fulkersons and to find a wallet of his girlfriend, Kallie Mae, in it. He has asked Santa for a small frame for his nursery, but in the mean time, he has asked us to put her picture on our fridge. As you can see, he loves to say "hello" and give kissies to Kallie :) We can't wait for our next play date and are hopeful that we can host the first annual Brecken & Kallie Mae Slumber Party in the near future!!!
