The much anticipated day is here....

...July 13th.

Since last November, we have been anxiously awaiting this much said day.... Junior's due date!! How weird is it that we have a 6 week old on his due date??? Crazy. Of course I'd much rather be enjoying him here at home than starting with the delivery process today! Ha...

Our little guy is up to an enormous 8 pounds, 2 ounces as of this morning. He is growing so quickly and it's fun to see him filling out... I think he'll lose his "preemie status" in no time!

Grandma Gott was up this last week to visit Brecken and I think it's safe to say that she thoroughly enjoyed her time with him. Eric was out of town for work for a few days, so it was nice to have the extra hands here. She was a big help and even volunteered to do the middle of the night feeding one night.... She didn't have to ask me twice! :) Eric and I got to go out on a date while Grandma Gott babysat last Friday. She laughed at us because our date from start to finish was less than 2 hours! I guess we were anxious to get back to little Brecken... Maybe we will stay out longer next time!

Uncle Aaron also came from Green Bay over the weekend and although he didn't get around to changing a diaper, he did enjoy his cuddle time. Brecken laid on his chest for a full movie on Saturday night and bonded with his uncle.

Several ladies from the church we've been attending have brought delicious meals to us over the past few weeks. It was so nice of them and great to take a break from cooking.... Though after my months of bed rest, I truly don't mind being in the kitchen anymore!

This is kind of funny... I was trying to get a good picture of Brecken and me and he, instead, decided to try and eat my face!! We did FINALLY get a picture after he stopped munching on my cheek :)

Matt, Jill, Michael and Julia came over one night for dinner and Brecken took his first pictures with his cousins and aunt & uncle:

We seem to have something scheduled for every single weekend the rest of the summer, which is quite a bummer. It's been fun to just relax and hang out as a family and not be on the go. Our first trip to Iowa should be interesting! We usually have every crevice of the car full between us and the dogs, so not sure where Brecken and his entourage of goodies will fit.

Speaking of Brecken, I hear him laughing and making noises in the crib as I finish this up.... He says hello to everyone!

Take care,

April, Eric & Brecken
