Doctor
Everything went fine at the doctor's office this morning. He was happy to hear that the contractions are much better, which proves that the new medication seems to be working and doing its job. He didn't miraculously lift the bed rest prison sentence so that continues. I also asked him today when he would induce me should everything continue going well and the baby goes full term. Not that I want anything to be born right now, but come on, can you blame me for getting anxious??? Life as I know it has siezed to exist and each day gets longer and longer.... He said 41 weeks. FOURTY-ONE WEEKS??? Are you serious? I will die. Just DIE. I told him if that's the case, this baby is going to come out and go STRAIGHT to time out! Ehhhhhhhhhhh. I am SO over bed rest.
We go back next Wednesday for another check-up and an ultrasound. Because of the Single Artery Umbilical, the doctor wanted to monitor Junior's growth and development towards the end of pregnancy so told us at 19 weeks that we'd be doing frequent ultrasounds towards the end.... Thank God we're actually at the "towards the end" zone now to do these ultrasounds!! Hopefully everything will look okay next Wednesday. The doctor said he expects everything to look great, as heart rate has been consistently good and my tummy measurements are right where they need to be.
I'd also like to give a special birthday shout out to my precious niece, Emma Autumn Gott! She turns 3 today and is celebrating "birthday princess" style with her friends in Green Bay. I am sure she's excited to get to bring cupcakes to share with her classmates and rumor has it she has special birthday plans for this evening also!! She is having a "Madagascar" jungle themed party this weekend and words cannot express my sadness over missing this special day in her life. I've been promised lots of pictures and videos, and although it won't be the same, I'll be happy watching her big smiles! Happy Birthday Cheeks... Auntie April loves you!!
