Another Day at the Hospital
It was a long night for April last night (Saturday). She was not feeling well to say the least and was probably up every hour frequenting the bathroom. However, in addition to being sick she was having quite a few intense contractions. Finally around 6:15 she decided to call the doctor's office who told her she needed to come visit them right away. So we quick jumped in the car and told my parents (who were visiting us this weekend) we would call them later.
Once we arrived at the hospital April was hooked up to Juniors favorite machines to measure his heart rate and mommy's contractions. Junior was looking good and April's contractions were about 2 min apart. They started her on some IV's to make sure she stayed hydrated as she hadn't kept anything down in 12 hrs. When the nurse was hooking the IV's up April started to get sick and the nurse made a quick exit leaving April with the smallest bucket (tray) to use. We both were thinking that was quite weird for her to leave like that. We tell ourselves she was going to look for the doctor since the doctor was just in our room, but who knows. All was well for the first hour plus but then Juniors heart rate dipped twice in 10 min. So they did a Biophysical Profile on him to ensure that he was doing alright. The test consisted of 4 observations (i.e. movement, breathing, tone, and fluid) to which he passed all with flying colors. After a few more hours in the Hospital they let us be on our way.
April is now home for the night (though still not feeling the greatest) and taking it easy. She tried to take naps off and on in the afternoon but is still having contractions and feeling nauseas. April and Junior have a follow up with the doctor tomorrow so hopefully we will again hear good news about my little ones (Junior and April that is). April hopes she will feel up to writing the blog soon because she doesn't feel my writing is as good, and she fears she might be loosing readers.
Thanks everyone for all the words of encouragement and prayers. We both enjoy reading all the comments people leave out here.
